The Whole Story
In 2001, after an insurance career that included working for both insurance companies and insurance agencies, Charles (Chuck) Shank opened Shank & Falvey Insurance Agency in East Greenbush.
At the same time, Chuck was instrumental in partnering with Seely & Durland Agency in Warwick and Sprague & Killeen Agency in Ellenville and forming DCS Agency Solutions, LLC. DCS Agency Solutions is designed to pool production in key companies in order to solidify relationships that are becoming increasingly difficult for small to mid-sized agencies to keep on their own.
Now, over ten years later, Shank & Falvey in East Greenbush has added a second location at 3341 RT 9 Kinderhook, NY 12184.
Shank & Falvey, Burnt Hills, NY
On St Patrick’s Day 2005, Tim Newell and Michelle Guilbeau, left another independent insurance agency in Ballston Lake and joined Shank & Falvey Insurance Agency in East Greenbush with the intent to move their existing clients as quickly as possible and to establish a Burnt Hills office in the near future. By June, they had moved into temporary space on Kingsley Rd. and moving again in August to a permanent leased space. S&F North, LLC dba Shank & Falvey Insurance Agency, with Tim, Michelle and Chuck as members, was established at the beginning of 2006 to formalize their partnership. In March 2007, the current Burnt Hills location at 805 Route 50 was purchased and the move was made on Easter weekend 2007. Chris Newell was added in May 2008 as Sales Producer, bringing his local connections to S&F. Now, approaching 10 years old, the Burnt Hills office has steadily grown, adding clients on a regular basis and becoming the “go to agency” for both personal and business insurance in the local area.
